Web Site Visitors

In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are. We may use information about your activities on the site and your computer equipment to improve our site, including content and layout (see Non-Personally Identifiable Information, below). However, individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily provide personal information.

Personally Identifiable Information

A. Recipe Contributors

Where individuals log in to contribute recipes to a cookbook, we collect certain personally identifiable information on behalf of the editor of the cookbook to enable them to contribute. Cookbook editors may use this information for such purposes as to include your recipe in their cookbook, to give credit to you in their cookbook for your contribution, to communicate with you about your recipe, to offer to sell you copies of their cookbook. Your Own Cookbook uses your personally identifiable information only to provide the cookbook editors with the services they have contracted us for, and to offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter and to learn about our service. Your Own Cookbook's privacy policy does not cover the cookbook editor's use of your information. For more information on how your information is used by the cookbook editor of a cookbook to which you contribute, consult the individual cookbook editor.

Your Own Cookbook may use recipe contributor information in the aggregate to help improve the content of our Web sites as well as to improve the products and services that we offer to both cookbook editors and recipe contributors.
